Bert Ellis has founded, operated and profitably sold two large broadcast groups, Act III Broadcasting and Ellis Communications.
Act III owned and operated 8 Fox-affiliated stations from 1986 until 1992.
Ellis Communications owned and operated 15 stations affiliated with all 4 major networks from 1993 to 1996. Ellis Communications also owned Raycom, then one of the largest rights-holders and producers of college sports in the country.
Ellis now owns KAME in Reno, NV and KDOC in Los Angeles, CA.
